What happened to the mural on the Burrard and Robson side of the old VPL Central Building? It was probably on the outside wall, as I recall.

From my memory they were always dirty with the plexiglass on the Burrard side cloudy and brownish even. Dal Graur a former neighbour’s memory deserves better.
The one pix with the light coming through to the floor can stlllbe seen there.

The CKWX tiles probably ended up in a UBC dumpster. Garbage to a warehouse employee.
And when the tiles were applied to the new building on Burrard at Nelson, wasn’t it still the BC electric building?
I remember when CHQM first opened in a building on the East side of Burrard didn’t that building have a front clad in dark blue tiles?

What a shame that the section of the mural sent to UBC was lost! My daughter and I were must talking about a mural with Venetian glass in it this morning and couldn’t remember who had done it, so your blog for today was a great coincidence. Thanks.
