					<description><![CDATA[Douglas Carter was my grandpa. The first time I got to see him I was 11 and my dad was swearing at some man on the phone from the press. My dad pointed to the picture of a man who was dead laying on the train tracks. That’s your grandfather, and then went on to yell at the man for the photo. I will never forget that moment as it’s was the first time seeing my grandpa. 
My sister passed on the same day as my grandpa. Both of their lives taken way too soon, and on the same day. I realized this as I was searching for info on grandpa many years later and my jaw dropped in awe. The ripple effect of a date can stay forever. February 26th is a day my whole body gets sad. Just thought I’d share a little on the families side. 
There is also another family version that has been spoken about. Days not being the caller, and instead it was my grandma Helen. Apparently there was talk she also gave my dad up for adoption on February 26, the exact same day. This day has had much impact on our family]]></description>
