We were neighbors. Their children were my friends. I was 5 years old in 1975. I never saw them again. I missed them. I kept begging my grandmother to go and visit. She kept saying no. When I threw a tantrum about it, she finally told me the truth, that I couldnt go visit because their father had killed their mother and threw her off of a bridge. I never forgot them. Many years later I looked it all up, finding out that it was true, except it was a cliff, not a bridge. I had liked their mother, she was kind and beautiful. I wish things had been different.

He was my grade 4 teacher. Maybe it was grade 5. I do remember the red face the chalk flying as well as the blackboard brushes. Also, I lost track of how many wooden pointers he broke.

Roy Lowther was my grade 5 teacher and after that he was the music teacher for the district of maple ridge in the late 60's He had a very bad temper and basically got demoted and fired because of his temper after that . I was very sad to hear his wife was killed but it didn't surprise me because when he got angry , usually at the boys, his face would go bright bright red .. very scary and then the chalk would fly that being said he was wonderful in teaching us kids a variety of songs and music appreciation.. I still have my song sheets that he handed out. I liked him but I too think his wife was successful whereas he was not and that was his undoing.. so sad

Why is my first thought? Senseless for another.
Jealous of her success? Pathetic. Surly must have mumbled something to a fellow inmate why he was in for murder.
I icicle covered house chilling on its own.
