Boy do I remember that grain elevator fire in North Van! It was at the Pioneer Grain Terminal (Now Richardson) in 1975. I went to Argyle School in Lynn Valley with the Scullys. Janet Scully babysat my brother and I as kids growing up in Lynn Valley and her brother Steve was a year or two younger than me. He went to work as a mechanic at the Chevron in Lynn Valley. I think he went to work for the District of West Van after that. Ed Hooper had two adopted sons who played for the Burdett Soccer Club in North Van. They played in the same league as my brother.

Great stories.
I had a ghost encounter when I was in Ottawa on vacation a few years back. We were in a heritage home and felt a presence walk by when chatting in bed. In the morning we asked the host if the house had a ghost and they said yes. They didn’t advertise the ghost but was willing to chat about their experiences.

Very interesting Eve! No real harrowing encounters with ghosts, but if others have seen them, I am okay with it. Many claim to have had encounters with UFOs, who am I to say they have not seen one or two.
