Only took from May to December! Now it would be 2 years and he would get 10 years less time served formula. And probably get his military pension. Maybe he might get off after 5 years for “good” behaviour! Because he did not trash any of his 3 meals, T.V., gym equipment, helped others find the Lord as he had, etc.

My family and I Knew Judge Branca, and he was a wonderful man. As a fellow West Vancouverite, whenever he saw me at the Bus Stop going into Vancouver for School and later work, he would stop and we’d carpool into to town where he would drop me off in front of the Hotel Vancouver, before he went to the Court House. He was a lovely, and most interesting man, and always interesting in how my education was going. This Killer received a proper sentence, and ending for his horrific crime!

In reply to Brad Williams. 1945 and the death sentence never did anything to stop violent crimes. Murder is murder is murder, regardless of what reason is used to justify. Murders like this are committed by children who learned that bullying is the way to get what you want. Bullying was used on this guy as a child and on every other damaged human who decided that others should give them what they want regardless of whether they want to or not. It's all bullying and murdering bullies will never work to stop bullies from being bullies. They are sociopaths and they were all created by a system that fails to allow families to raise children in a world that values their lives.

Every day should, no, must be a day to eliminate violence to women. What is with men? Too proud to get a call girl? And why the need to kill them? Some societies this is ingrained as the women only good for a dowry ect. Otherwise the shame on the family! Such attitudes will never change in our or any lifetime but we in the west can do our part to stop it here.

Very well written Eve. I like to think this creep got what he deserved. And that justice was served quickly. There are always a few creeps hiding in the bushes, predators, and down and out people waiting to ruin someones life. All women should be escorted home late at night and few businesses should be open 24/7.
