designate ………for sure, there was another Hobbit house on west 7th, I think, close to Alma and bordering the Jerrico Army Base……..it was right on a corner and I think it has been demolished and some ugly , new place built in it’s place…..sad.

Woah! Expensive! But the house needs to be maintained well and instead of the expensive price tag, the owners can allot a budget for the upkeep. This house has some artistic and historic value.

Great account, Eve. Moving the house has merits, particularly as there’s nothing particularly special about its current location. And the lot itself carries much of the value anyhow. Preserving it might get preference from the city, that’s true too.

The people who buy the property can designate if they CHOOSE to do so. If a developer buys it, he can do whatever as it he/she owns it. The point is, only the owner of the property can do these things. No outside person, organization or agency should be able to tell someone else what they can do with their property.

All those who want to save the house had best line up to the left, pool their money and BUY IT !!!

It is morally wrong to designate someone else’s property. Once a group of “investors” own the property, they can do whatever they want with it.
