It was the memorial to Mary Langley killed in the sinking of the Empress of Ireland. I believe the plaque actually originated at the St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Bradner that was closed before the church in Aldergrove opened. Sadly the plaque was destroyed when someone fire bombed the church, also destroyed were the memorials for local soldiers who died in WWI
